At the end of 2025, we remain incredibly grateful for our UTS learning and teaching community, and recognise that stories written for Education Express have been generously contributed in a time of great uncertainty and difficulty. As in previous years, such as  2020’s COVID-induced remote teaching and Zoom boom, or 2023’s rush to catch up with the rapid evolution of GenAI, the learning and teaching staff at UTS have connected throughout this period of ambiguity with innovation and determination. Join us to reflect on and celebrate our community’s many case studies, initiatives and achievements in our end-of-year countdown of our most-read posts from 2025.

And coming in at #1

Open education aims to make education more accessible and inclusive by removing financial and technological barriers to learning via freely available teaching materials. For the third year running, the Education Portfolio and UTS Library teamed up to create an engaging program for OEWeek. The guide to what’s on at UTS Open Education Week is always popular, but this time it soared confidently to the top spot. Congratulations to Mais Fatayer and everyone who contributed to the success of this week-long program, as well as blog post author Scott Britcher.
