Looking to update your learning and teaching skills while connecting with others? Here are two upcoming programs available to UTS educators.

Enhancing Teaching@UTS

If you are looking to refresh your knowledge and skills in teaching and learning and would like to do that with colleagues at UTS, we encourage you to join Enhancing Teaching@UTS. Enhancing Teaching@UTS is a program for UTS educators to further develop your understanding, capability and confidence in teaching drawing on good practice principles aligned to the UTS distinctive approach. As well as encouraging innovative teaching with a strong focus on student learning and the student experience, the program also aims to connect you with resources and community across disciplines and the Education Portfolio to promote ongoing support and collaboration.

This is a 5-week online program consisting of five 1.5-hour, weekly online workshops in the Spring 2025 teaching session (weeks 3-7). You will also be invited to join a Canvas site to connect and collaborate with each other.

Over the 5 weeks of this program, you will:

  • Reflect on the opportunities and challenges within your teaching context and identify areas of inquiry that interest you
  • Consider the alignment between your teaching practice, the key elements of effective and inclusive teaching, and the UTS distinctive approach
  • Apply design principles to the development and teaching of your subjects to enhance student learning
  • Enhance your feedback and assessment strategies to promote student success
  • Explore tools and methods to engage students using technology
  • Develop strategies for evaluating and reflecting on your practice

Enrol now for the program, which kicks off 15 August:
