This core subject was developed with a ‘flipped classroom’ approach utilising case studies to engage learners in real world problems and enhance their interaction.
The structure included:
- Weekly Topic
- Checklist of tasks for each topic including a weekly blog post to be completed prior to face-to-face workshop
- Utilisation of varied resources each week, including relevant literature, newspaper articles, radio interviews, blogs and videos
- Presentation of resources scaffolded to encourage student interaction
