Teaching with GenAI: Interactive Podcast for Assessment and Learning

In this session, Dr Luis Lozano Paredes will share his experience integrating generative AI through an interactive podcast approach. Using Google’s NotebookLM in its interactive podcast format, he has developed a process that enables users to engage with subject content and assessment-related materials conversationally. This approach aims to enhance accessibility, foster deeper understanding, and provide a dynamic method for exploring complex ideas beyond static text.

Dr Lozano Paredes will discuss the design process, the pedagogical rationale behind using GenAI for active learning, and provide practical insights from implementing this approach in various subjects. The session will also cover governance considerations for academic integrity when adopting AI-driven tools.
