    Hi Ken,

You previously mentioned that we were to present our group(4-6 students) data against the 2017 ideal data sets.

However, due to our group’s low sample size would this not prove inaccurate as the 2017 data was a average of ALL the data values present for ALL groups?? Should we not use ALL the average values obtained in 2018 to compare against ALL of 2017?

I understand that you have to mark us based on the data we recorded ourselves as a group, but reporting our data against the average of the whole 2017 cohort means that our data will always be subject to some form of error discrepancy.

Also on another side note, the “ideal” may not also be accurate because those are the values of the averages of 2017. Should we also mention that data against any literature values? Or should we treat the 2017 data as literature values?

    Hi Kieran,
I agree with what you say and that’s the point of the exercise. The more you repeat and experiment the more reliable the data. The literature values are different again.
