Thanks for posting these excellent questions Vicky.

The assignment should be 2 pages in total plus about half a page for references. So the 2 pages will include text and images. I’m guessing that it will end up being about one and a half pages of text but that depends on font size, layout etc.

In the blog you should use a numbering system for referencing. In science you need to support the claims you are making so by using in-text numbers it keeps it quite subtle.

The best figures are the ones you make yourself. If you do use others you need to reference them as well. It’s a bit sad when everyone uses the same figures/images that are either on the first page of a google search or taken straight off the lectures. Its good if students own the projects and do some good research.

Drafts will be posted on the website and visible to everyone for comment including the teaching staff. I’ll send an announcement around with the directions. If there is any similarities to other blogs the first one posted is the original. When it comes to the final version you need to put it through turnitin on UTS online (no need to do anymore as I can see them) and then you will submit on the website again where you will receive a mark and feedback that only the student who submitted can see.
