11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Zoom – further details provided upon registration
Group work is not just a task but a way of learning together with other students. It provides students with the opportunity to learn about deep listening and engaging with other perspectives. Learning and working together can result in learning so much more than one could have learnt alone.
In the second webinar in this new series Group Work in the spotlight we are hosting three students. They will think with us through the possibilities and challenges of working and learning productively with others.
We will hear from these students about their group work highlights and insights. The webinar will focus on:
- What are the possibilities of group allocations: integrating group work purpose with student preferences
- What is the role of the teacher in group learning: designing regular check-in strategies
- How to create conditions that cultivate student agency and teacher connection
Pre-work:
- Come with your prickly group learning questions
- Come with thoughts around why we need to learn to facilitate group work well and be willing to flesh out how this might look
