  • Haymarket HQ

The novel coronavirus presents a dynamic and rapidly evolving situation, and our thoughts are with everyone impacted.

The current travel restrictions are significantly affecting the arrival of international students from China into Australia. Unfortunately, these restrictions coincide with the start of the Australian academic year. Our education providers and regulatory agencies are demonstrating leadership and flexibility, including exploring how best to support students and reach them with different modes of education delivery such as online education and digital coursework. But streaming content into China is easier said than done due to the “Great Chinese Firewall,” amongst other issues.

Study NSW has partnered with Haymarket HQ to deliver an event for education providers to provide support and possible solutions to reach impacted students in China during this time.

Join us over some refreshments to share and learn about solutions to overcome the challenges we are facing, and hear about government work to address the situation.

The event will include:

  • Presentations from industry representatives about solutions to enable streaming into China and overcoming Chinese Firewall issues;
  • An update from Study NSW about cross-sector work underway to address current challenges; and
  • Networking drinks with sector representatives to discuss solutions to shared challenges.

Who should attend?

  • NSW education providers including representatives from universities, colleges, private education institutions
  • Anyone in the education sector that works with Chinese students.

The event is sponsored by Study NSW and is free of charge.

Limited places are available so please register here to save your seat.
