Models of teaching and learning provision in universities worldwide are changing form thanks to a variety of factors including the confluence of digitisation, marketisation and unbundling.
This talk will review these current trends in higher education, will reflect on how provision is being rebundled, will foreground the value propositions and will consider the implications for students and institutions, particularly for inequality in education.
Associate Professor Laura Czerniewicz is Director of the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She is a board member of the Open Education Consortium – a global network for open education. Her research interests include open education, the technologically–mediated practices of students and academics, the nature of the changing higher education environment.
