9.30 – 9.45 Welcome, Acknowledgement of Country and Introductions (15min)
9.45 – 10.00 Context to Student Voice in Australia – introduction to Student Voice Australia and the Principles of Student Partnership. (15min)
10.00 – 10.30 Student Engagement and what it means for your institution – this session will explore some of the key drivers for student engagement and partnership from within your institution and start a discussion on what the benefits for you might be. (30 min)
10.30 – 11.15 Exploring Partnership – partnership is a key concept for work on student engagement. This session will use two models to explore current levels of partnership. (45 min)
11.15 – 12.15 Where are we now – This session will use a card sort exercise to help you explore the ways students currently work with your institution in shaping the direction of teaching & learning and how students are currently involved in formal mechanisms for quality assurance, enhancement and governance at different levels of the institution. (60 min)
12.15 – 1.00 Lunch
1.00 – 2.30 Making Plans – this session will take the analysis from this morning’s session to begin the process of deciding on institutional priorities. This will help develop an institutional strategy and contribute to the development of the national SVA program. (90 min)
2.30 – 2.50 What’s Next – this final session will look at the priorities which have been identified and explore links with ongoing institutional activities and the Student Voice Australia initiatives. (20 min)
2.50 – 3.00 Conclusions and close (10 min)
