Would you like to apply for a UTS or national teaching citation or award?
Do you feel you are ready for promotion and wondering how to build your case for teaching?
Whether you’re planning to apply for teaching and learning awards or promotion or just keen to develop your academic profile, it’s important to be able to make a good case for teaching and learning.
In a Zoom session, the first of series of three sessions, on August 17, 2021, 12.30 – 2pm:
- Shirley Alexander will discuss the importance of presenting a good case around your learning and teaching
- AAUT Teaching Award winner Amanda White will share her experience and advice in applying successfully for a national award and previously a citation and promotion
- You’ll have opportunities to share your ideas and experiences on making a case for teaching
- Jo McKenzie and Ann Wilson will provide advice on making your case for an award or citation
This will be an interactive session on Zoom. Please test your video and audio settings prior to joining.

Next workshops in the series
The second workshop session will be on Tuesday September 7, and focus on developing evidence and integrating it into your application.
The third session will be on Tuesday September 28. It will focus on telling your story and writing the application, and enable you to get feedback from your peers.
