KeymasterHi Patricia
Thanks for your question. Under the Block 1 topic. We are trying to have a few Topics and let them run, rather than lots and lots of topics. We will review how this goes, but for now we are funnelling everything into a topic for each block, and this helpdesk.

ParticipantHello, question on Assessment 1
Part 1. re:word count for Assessment 1. Does it include references? And confirming it’s 1000 words for both pieces. I chose the radio interview style which is proving difficult to be both conversational and concise!
Part 2. The disaster scenario….”Think of what might go wrong in your study at different stages – what if there is an ethical breach of some kind? What if stakeholders react badly to your findings? What if you find you can’t analyse the data for your intended purpose?” Is it fine if we choose one stage of our research where things go *boom*?
Thanks for any advice. Ian

KeymasterAssessment 1:
1,000 words total for everything. But you can make one part a bit longer than the other if you wish (say to max 700/300 split).Part 2 – you can choose any stage where it might go boom – the questions were examples to help get you thinking. Disasters can (and do) occur in many forms at many stages! If you’re unsure please feel free to ask again here.

ParticipantSo I have tried to post a photo on Instagram. Not sure if I did it right?
I tried to another storyboard and made the pink bits as identifying the hole in the wall so I can do something new. -

ParticipantI am having difficulty in getting access to the block preparation. On my phone i can get into the block. But i cant click on the link to watch the video. I was going to email Ollie about that when he gets back from holiday on Monday. But now on my computer i cant get into the blocks at all. I have used three different browsers in windows 10. I have an Android phone .
Is this just a problem for me or are other people having problems too ?

ParticipantFYI, I’ve noticed if I’m logged in to my staff email account and try to open Design Futures website in the same browser, it loses some functionality.
A workaround is either log out of your staff account, or open a “private window” in your browser.

ParticipantThank you Ian. I didn’t manage to get in on Saturday but magically doing exactly the same thing got in on Sunday. Reassuring for me because my techno skills or lack of them are number one suspect. I am just about to send an email about the phone issue to Ollie the website guy.

ParticipantHi Nick, it looks like a link to a video is missing from pre-work item #6.
