I found this article very useful. I will use that technique ot keep my research on track. I related only too well to the “getting muddled ” The context of my study is the floorspace of a child and family centre. Complexities abound! I am focusing on the practices that take place on the floor and will be theoretically informed by notions of space and ideas about emergent learning. The space involves different scales such as the close intimate one between parent and child, parents and groups of parents, parents and professionals, professionals with each other, professionals and volunteers and volunteers with each other. There are larger scale spaces and relationships such as those with the centre and then those with the community. I am sure I will become overwhelmed . I will need to constantly check alignment. Reading this has prompted me to revisit basic aspects of my study and develop my mission question and area of curiosity.
