(Okay so the idea of triangulation actually makes a lot more sense in the Chenail reading!)

This idea of ‘keeping plumb’ and the 4 components of the plumb is actually really interesting to me. I panic slightly when other researchers/PhD students have one set research question, but ‘area of curiosity’ and ‘mission question’ fit in much better with my feminist ethnographic methodology.

For me, one thing I’m already aware of needing to ‘keep plumb’ is keeping focus on gendered social relations amongst my broader focus on power relations. I also don’t want my gender analysis to focus *just* on the role of women, so I will need to ensure I am collecting data that can reveal and discuss gender dynamics beyond gendered division of labour.
