Chenail and keeping plumb

My research is inter/transdisciplinary. That means I will likely have markers with backgrounds in engineering/development practice, social science and a psychologist. I have to provide each with enough background on fields outside their discipline to keep them happy whilst not boring the other marker!

This extends to my own research design and focus, it has been easy to be dragged out of plumb – ie Day 43 [engineer hat] “ultimately water sustainability is the important angle, people need regular water supply so we care if it’s working or not”, Day 44 [psychology hat] “what matters most is people’s internal experience of water projects”, Day 45 [social science] “actually, it’s the methods and approaches adopted by the NGO that others will learn from”.
